So I thought $16 isn't that bad. But I don't know what the lady did it came out to only $11 and with tax I paid like $12.38!! Isn't that crazy? If I would have noticed right away I would have said something, but I didn't look at the receipt till I was in the car!
I will post in a bit what savings I will be taking advantage of this friday, BLACK FRIDAY!

D.T.T. Getting What You Want
Diaper Tips Tuesday: Getting What You Want on a Budget

How do you get what you want if you're budget doesn't support the number, style or brands of diapers you would love to have?
http://www.theclothdiaperreport.com/2009/11/diaper-tips-tuesday-getting-what-you.html
Thank you for stopping by and wanting to learn how to get what you want! Thought I'd jump into this bloghop and tell you how I've stayed under my $100 budget! Yup, just $100. We set it before I our baby girl was born because hubby had been laid off and my mom said that we would all help eachother.
I then began the search for deals. I was pretty good at finding them because I had become a pretty savvy gal by using coupons and shopping at re-sale/thrift stores. I found this awesome store, The Children's Orchard, and bought lots of our baby girl clothes there. I also joined Freecycle, Diaperswappers and CafeMom's Cloth Diaperin' Mamas. Apart from that I also began looking at prices on ebay and online diaper shops.
I didn't start buying anything until our little one was born. The one reason why I did that is to see how big she was. My first daughter was 4 lbs. This buddle of joy was almost 8 lbs. So I'm glad I hadn't bought any preemie or newborn because I knew she would grow fast and wouldn't need much. That is when I got my first pack. I made a wanted ad in craigslist for anything that could be donated for our newborn. A nice lady donated a dozen of newborn prefolds, 8 diapers that she made a few years ago for her daughter and some gerber covers. I was so grateful! I thought that using these would help me figure out what kind of diapers would work for me as well as my little one.
I chose prefolds with covers. So I purchased some unbleached newborn prefolds on sale and used a coupon code from an online diaper site for $1 each, free shipping! Then I found thirsties, I found out they have an outlet store. It get filled with seconds every now and then and you can buy diapers and covers for bargain prices. Not to mention they work great. I have a total of 6 covers, that cost me under $40.
I then used diaperswappers to buy some lots for great prices. I bought 5 AIO and Pockets for $25 and have also bought some babylegs and woolies from diaperswappers and have done some swaps as well. So when you are just starting out with cloth diapers I suggest that you look at the lots that have what you are wanting to try or looking for. You might even be able to make a deal if you have some to trade.
CafeMom groups has also been a blessing. I have been able to try out diapers for as little as $5 and bought more prefolds that were a steal as well.
Along the way I've found adorable diapers that were just way out of our budget. Sometimes if it is a WAHM shop they might be nice enough to help you out or ask them to let you know when it goes on sale. And at those larger sites you can brows their seconds or clearance section.
Now I have only bought one diaper from Ebay because I hate paying for shipping. So stear clear if you don't want to pay extra for shipping, or look for items that say FREE SHIPPING. Plus, don't you just love the word FREE?
So, good luck getting what you want. It might cost you a bit more if you are not willing to wait. But it might be worth waiting.
Good luck!
